Colorado's Best Home Inspections LLC only offers and provides, as Licensed by the State of Colorado, NRPP-AARST Certified Radon Measurement Services, also known as radon testing. The NRPP-AARST Certification is the acceptable certification in real estate transactions.

Radon does not care if your home has a basement, crawlspace or sits on a slab (or a combination of any mentioned) – Radon is an environmental phenomenon and simply occurs because Colorado homes sit on a lot of rock here in Colorado. Radon is described to be a decay or uranium decay by-product that breaks down into tiny particles over the years and comes up through the ground as a soil gas. Radon is recognized as a health and safety hazard when it becomes trapped in our homes.

CBHI Radon Measurement Service/Fees

Designated service fees are in addition to the home inspection fee. $200.00 service fee; per each scheduled radon measurement service performed/radon monitor placed. As per industry standards, homes/structures with multiple foundation types do require a radon monitor placed for each foundation type. CBHI does offer Client Gifting considerations for multiple foundation type radon measurement services/multiple radon monitors placed/same day service.

Radon measurement services per NRPP-AARST standards and guidelines do require and allow a minimum service time of 48 hours or beyond corresponding to CBHI’s service availability to complete. Radon measurement results are reported in writing, emailed to respected CBHI Clients served typically date of radon monitor pickup.

Radon Monitor Pre-Drop Services

Radon monitor pre-drop services are available at a service fee of $50.00 per inspector site visit. This designated service fee is in addition to the CBHI home inspection fee. Radon monitor pre-drop services are provided upon request only to accommodate real estate legal deadline dates. Radon monitor pre-drop services are scheduled as per CBHI’s service schedule availability via homeowner or Realtor-approved lockbox access.
